An Update on Treatments for Co-Occurring Disorders

This talk will review recent treatment and services research on co-occurring mental and addiction disorders, including individual, group, family, residential, care management, contingency management, legal, and pharmacological interventions.

Robert E. Drake, MD, PhD is the Andrew Thomson Professor of Psychiatry and Community and Family Medicine at Dartmouth Medical School and the Director of the New Hampshire-Dartmouth Psychiatric Research Center. He has been at Dartmouth for 22 years and is currently Vice Chair and Director of Research in the Department of Psychiatry. He works as a community mental health doctor and researcher. His research focuses on co-occurring disorders, vocational rehabilitation, health services research, and evidence-based practices. He has written 15 books and over 350 papers
